Corrugated coffee cup holders.
I’ve been (not surprisingly) drinking quite a bit of coffee lately, and I’ve noticed that many corregated coffee cup holders include a bit of loose glue. At first, I thought this was a mistake, an oversight in the perfection of the coffee cup holder design.
On the contrary, that bit of excess glue melts when the hot coffee is poured into the cup, adhering the corregated holder to the cup—brilliant!

I never realized how to parse your screen name until you did it for me. Now I’m going to stare at coffee holders and think of cats licking glue.

Actually, the realization that “kisone” spells “k is one” didn’t come from me: Yvonne Lai pointed it out to me recently, though I have been using “kisonecat” as my username for years.

I thought it was kisone, like that language kisonef (sp?) . I suppose k could be one cat, too.

No no, you’re totally right, the kisone in kisonecat actually came from Kisonef, the language. “K is one” is something of a folk etymology created by people who had never heard of Kisonef.
I am mostly hoping that “k is one” might prevent the “kiss one cat” misinterpretation (not that I’m against being affectionate). Then again, this new theme seems a bit ridiculous (I can read “k = 1 cat” from the other side of my bedroom!), so maybe I should change back to the humbler, and more green, theme I had before.

Just to let you know, you spelled “corrugated” wrong.

Oh, you’re right—I’ve fixed the spelling.
